Tasting Notes: Complex acidity, jasmine, peaches, cherry and sweet rhubarb. Extremely clean and creamy, lingering finish.

Originally named as “Nectar from Shakisso” in 2009, the Nekisse profile is defined by creamy mouthfeel and heavy berry jam flavor, but layers of citrus and many tropical fruits can be present in some selections. Originally from Shakisso, subsequent Nekisse coffees have been developed in Wellega and Sidama.
We roasted this coffee for our friend Francesco Sanapo the 2013 Italian Barista Champion, to use in the World Barista Championships at MICE last year. His best performance ever, and the best by an Italian in 13 years, took him to the finals and gained him a trophy for being in the top six baristas in the world! You can read all about it in this blog post:
To commemorate this experience we bring you Nekisse again at this years MICE, and as the Single Origin coffee of the month for May. This is a special and therefore expensive coffee, but as our gift to you we have kept the price the same, hoping that with its popularity we can break even by selling out our entire stock.
